An accountability app that checks in on your goals
Odyssey is an AI goal coach for iPhone. It is not a content filter, and it is not a partner who sees your screen.
The words "accountability app" cover three products. One coaches a goal: a plan, and someone who comes back to it. One pairs you with a friend or a partner. One filters content, often under the name internet accountability. Odyssey is only the first. It does not block sites, watch browsing, or send a report of your internet use to another person.
What that coaching is, as a category, is on the AI life coach page. How a goal becomes milestones and a plan is on the goal setting page. The check-ins themselves are itemized on the feature list. Odyssey is introduced on the home page.
AI life coach apps are compared on the roundup. Liven, Purpose, and Unlimits are compared together. Rocky is a Rocky AI alternative, Fabulous is a habit app, and Habitica is a game. None of those pages is about filtering the internet.
The check-in
It arrives on a rhythm you set.
Your coach checks in at times you choose: daily, twice a day, three times a day, every other day, or weekly. The check-in is two scales, mood and energy, fifteen seconds, and your coach responds to what you entered rather than filing it.
Other messages use the same kind of schedule. A coach message can arrive on the lock screen, written the night before out of tomorrow's plan. A cue fires when a plan item is due. Once a week, the review: what went well, what got in the way, and one focus for the coming week. Your coach reads the week back between the second question and the third.
The milestones are the progress. Your coach drafts four or five of them when the goal is created, along with three plan drafts in onboarding, and you tick them off. A commitment that keeps failing comes back smaller. None of this is a live watch on the day. The text exists before it arrives.
A person, or a filter
Some jobs are a different app.
An AI coach is there when you open the app, and the check-in arrives whether or not you remembered to ask. A person is a person. They can care in a way software cannot, and they are not on call at midnight. You can use both. Odyssey does not add a partner to the account, and it does not offer a session with a human coach.
If the accountability you want is a friend seeing the list, or someone else seeing the screen, you want a partner app. This page does not review those products, and it does not claim any of them is free.
If you want software that blocks sites or reports browsing, you want a content filter. Odyssey is not that, and calling it an internet accountability app would be the wrong product.
Which one
How to pick.
Pick Odyssey if the goal is clear and the missing piece is a coach on iPhone who comes back to the plan. You choose one of five, and the coaching is text. The download is free. A subscription is required after onboarding, and there is no free trial. Pro is $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year. Max is $24.99 a month or $199.99 a year. Odyssey is coming to Google Play and is not available there yet. Get notified on the support page. Plan differences are on the pricing page.
The button goes to the App Store, which shows the price in your currency.
Questions
What is an accountability app?
The name covers three products. One is a coach for a goal: a plan, and someone who comes back to it. One pairs you with a person, a friend or a partner, who can see the list or the screen. One is a content filter, often sold as internet accountability, which blocks sites or reports browsing. Odyssey is only the first. It is an AI goal coach for iPhone.
Is there a free accountability app?
Odyssey is free to download. During onboarding your coach builds the milestones and three plan drafts. A subscription is required after that, and there is no free trial. Pro is $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year. Max is $24.99 a month or $199.99 a year. This page does not claim that some other accountability app is free. That would be a claim about a product it has not checked.
Can an AI really keep me accountable?
It can come back. Your coach checks in on a rhythm you set, and the message is written ahead of time from the plan. An AI is not a person, and it does not care in the way a person can. You can use both. Odyssey does not add a partner to the account.
Is Odyssey an internet or porn accountability app?
No. Odyssey is an AI goal coach. It does not filter websites, block apps, or report browsing to another person. Internet accountability, in the sense of a content filter, is a different product.
Does it work on iPhone? What about Android?
Yes, on iPhone. Android is coming to Google Play and is not available there yet. Get notified on the support page.
